Erin Lambert Hartman, LMT
Erin Lambert Hartman's introduction to the healing arts began over thirty years ago when she learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) from a philosophy professor and T'ai Chi from a dance instructor while completing her bachelors degree in English at Virginia Commonwealth University. These practices led to her study of metaphysics and energy healing with wisdom teacher Joan Lee while she earned her Master's degree in creative writing at Syracuse University.
She began formal studies in bodywork in 2004 at The Swedish Institute: Manhattan NYC Healthcare Training School, but set aside her training in 2006 to accept a faculty position in The Writing Program at James Madison University. After completing her massage therapy certification at Cedar Stone School of Massage in 2012, Erin opened Solace Therapeutic Massage and left teaching for her healing arts practice.
A preferred practitioner and member of the Society for Oncology Massage, Erin also works as an oncology massage therapist for UVA Health. In everything she does, she strives to keep in mind a mentor's kind words: "Never underestimate the healing dynamic of a compassionate touch." Whether touch takes the form of words, hands or a gentle presence, Erin seeks to share compassion at Solace.

"...I have fibromyalgia. Since seeing Erin I have less pain and moving isn't as difficult. I appreciate that she listens and doesn't work too deeply on my sensitive body. ...I am a true believer." -- Kay R. (Yelp filtered review)
